Young boys in North Korea was punished because of listening to South Korean songs


Two 16-year-old boys in North Korea have been sentenced to 12 years in prison for listening to South Korean movies and music.

According to foreign media, the two young men was arrested in North Korea for listening to songs and watching videos of a famous South Korean K-pop music group. The two young men were sentenced to prison terms with hard labor.

A video circulating on social media shows two students handcuffed and masked in a gray lecture hall. Approximately 1,000 students attended the sentencing. They were found guilty of watching and distributing Korean movies, music and music videos over a three-month period, according to the video.
