KARACHI: Police have charged Pakistan's Tehreek-e-Insaf rally in Karachi, the capital of Sindh province. According to media reports, during a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf rally in Karachi's Tin Talwar, police surrounded PTI workers and ordered them to leave and clear the road. They protested and shouted slogans, police resorted to lathi charges to disperse the workers and several workers were arrested.

Tin Talwar Road in the center was closed and those who resisted were arrested.

In the clash between the police and his PTI workers, several policemen, including the SHO, were injured as southern police resisted, but Tehreek-e-Insaaf workers reportedly pushed back the police. It was withdrawn after PTI workers threw stones. . Large numbers of workers are taking to the streets again.

Police are known to have brutally tortured journalists who were covering the rally along with the participants, with a man's head exploding, Sama's camera being shattered and his battery damaged. DIG South Syed Asad Raza, while taking note of the mistreatment of journalists and cameramen in Tin Talwar, said such incidents were unacceptable and action would be taken against those responsible for violence against journalists.
